FLIGHTS
While there isn’t a multitude of direct flights due to Socotra’s isolated location, there is currently one direct flight operated by Air Arabia that departs twice a week from Abu Dhabi. You can also take a connecting flight, departing from Cairo and connecting at Aden International Airport, to fly to Socotra.
You can be in charge of your own flights (we will share the necessary contact details with you) or you can let Socotra Bliss take care of everything for you.

VISA
A Yemeni visa is a prerequisite for all travellers visiting Socotra and Socotra Bliss will take care of your visa for you.
Simply provide us with a photo of the main page of your passport, and we’ll handle the rest. Once your visa is secured, we will email you the copy that you can present at the Abu Dhabi check-in counter before your flight. When you arrive at the Socotra International Airport, our team will be ready with the original copy of your visa, ensuring a seamless start to your Socotra adventure.
TOURIST SEASON
Typically spanning from October to May, the tourist season is marked by milder temperatures, making it ideal for travellers wanting to explore the island’s diverse landscapes. Pristine beaches beckon sunseekers, while adventurous souls can delve into the rugged mountains and unique limestone plateaus. Socotra’s underwater world is equally captivating, with excellent visibility for diving enthusiasts. Socotra usually experiences some rainfall between October and December while the period from January to May tends to be drier but also slightly warmer.
